Coming to Blu-ray for the very first time the original Battlestar Galactica will be available from Universal Studios on May 12, 2015.

Two box sets are up for pre-order right now. The first set: Battlestar Galactica: The Remastered Collection features both the original series as well as the oft-criticized Galactic 1980. The second set: Battlestar Galactica: The Definitive Collection comes with the same but also includes the original movie. Personally, I’m going to go for the second set simply for the fact that it includes everything!

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that they will release the Frank Darabont Collection on Blu-ray. The set contains three of the acclaimed director’s signature films: The Green MileThe Shawshank Redemption, and for the first time on Blu-ray: The Majestic.

The set is beautifully crafted in book-style packaging. The collection will retail for $29.99.

The Frank Darabont Collection will be available on February 24th, 2015!

Sony Pictures Entertainment has announced that three new Toho Collection blu-rays will be released in stores on September 9th.

These titles include  Godzilla 2000, G.M.K. All Monsters Attack/Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Rebirth of Mothra Trilogy.

This not only marks the debut of many of these titles on blu-ray but, also marks the debut of Rebirth of Mothra III on home media in the US.

I can not wait to pick these up and review them for all you fellow G-fans on the site!

What’s the secret word of the day?! BLU-RAY!!

Shout! Factory has given us a long, overdue confirmation on the release of the highly-anticipated Pee-wee’s Playhouse The Complete Series on Blu-ray!

Along with some packaging art, we have been told that this collector’s set will be available to own on October 21st.

I am ecstatic about this upcoming title and can not wait to pick it up and review it on the site!

Two new Disney lines of Funko POPS have just been announced. The Lion King and Bambi POP figures will be hitting store shelves this August.

The Lion King wave includes Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki and Scar

Bambi wave includes Bambi, Thumper, and Flower.

What’s this? What’s this? Some new Re-action toys?

Funko has recently announced that they will be releasing a new line of Re-action figures for my favorite animated movie The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The first wave includes not one, but three different Jack Skellington’s, Sally, Mayor, Behemoth, Barrel, and Devil. The series will be hitting stores this August, so be sure to pick them up.

Criterion Collection has recently announced that the cult classic “Eraserhead” will be released on Blu-ray for the very first time on September 16th.

The blu-ray will contain an all-new 4k Remastered picture presentation approved by the film’s director David Lynch.

As a big Lynch fan myself, in fact, Eraserhead is one of my all-time favorite movies, I can not wait to pick this blu-ray up this September.

StarVista/Time Life has revealed the packaging details to the long-awaited and highly anticipated release of the television classic “The Wonders Years”. Pictured below is the upcoming 26-Disc complete series set, which is housed in a limited collectors edition “locker” package. The set will also include some magnets and cast and crew liner notes.

No release date has been announced for the set. However, eager fans like myself can visit WonderYearsDVD.com and sign up for updates.

You read that correctly, Funko is really spoiling us this year. Funko has just announced that they will be adding the heartwarming characters from Frozen to their popular line of POP! figures.

Included in the first wave are Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven.

These little toys are absolutely adorable and are a must-have for any fan of the film (Including myself).
