My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) Coming to Blu-ray January 9!

Everyone’s favorite technicolor ponies in their first feature-length adventure will be trotting to Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack on January 9th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment! Digital will be made available earlier on December 19th. Featuring an all-star cast including, Emily Blunt, Liev Schreiber, Michael Peña, and Zoe Saldana! Plus new songs by Daniel Ingram, and an original song by Sia!

  • Deleted Scene
  • Equestria Girls Short
  • “Baking with Pinkie Pie” Featurette
  • “Making Magic with the Mane 6 and Their New Friends” Featurette
  • “The Journey Beyond Equestria” Featurette

Join the club today! Long-time fans should be familiar with my reviews for the new incarnation of My Little Pony.  The latest DVD release from Shout! Factory is a compilation collection of select episodes, the theme this time being episodes centered on the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo).

Episodes included:

  • The Cutie Mark Chronicles
  • The Cutie Pox
  • Flight to the Finish
  • Pinkie Pride (Not sure why this is on here)
  • Twilight Time

Since this is a compilation retail release this isn’t really targeted at the older fans. This is aimed towards causal fans and of course, the younger demographic. So unless you don’t own the season sets or just need a DVD for your kids to watch, I’d say pass on this release. But if this title interests you, it’s available right now!
